I began binding books as an undergraduate art student in 2001 before moving to Chicago where I received my Masters degree in Library Science and completed an internship in Book Conservation at the Art Institute of Chicago. I worked as a professional bookbinder for about 5 years, creating projects for publishing houses, universities, government agencies, artists, retailers and private collectors before serving as the Managing Director for the American Academy of Bookbinding in Telluride, CO from 2017 to 2020. Since that time, I have been building a private studio practice in Asheville and working for the downtown public library. I’m proud to offer my expertise and professional craftsmanship for all of your fine binding projects.
